Wooden Signs
This week's blog update comes a bit early this week...
Sometimes, wooden signs are corny. But, sometimes they’re pretty nifty too. I happened across a few nifty looking turquoise signs that I’d like to share with you today.

$85 plus shipping via Honeys Treasures.
[I think this one might be my favorite... A perfect choice for a front door or entryway.]

Clarke & Clarke Fabrics
I love fabric. I love it so much that I have a few stacks in my closet that I bought with the intention of eventually making something and then, well, people get busy.
In any case, Clarke & Clarke has this really awesome collection called Bolero that features some great shades of turquoise. I'd like to get my hands on some and make some pillows for my bedroom... Ah, one of these days I'll be a little less busy and a little more... creative. :]
Anyway, click here and check it out. If you love retro 70s patterns, then it might appeal to you too!

Personal Inspiration
Today I'd like to direct you to House of Turquoise for some inspiration. It inspired me to start this blog after finding that I wasn't the only person completely obsessed with turquoise (as seen by my living room. :)
Have a great day, everyone!

Turquish Dreams, Get it?
So, I might think my title is clever. At least for now. "Turquish Dreams," get it?
Anyway, I'd like to start you off with some photos of my own turquoise home. Or at least, my turquoise living room. Sorry for the poor quality, the camera I own currently isn't the greatest. But anyway, enjoy.
The chair we use as a cat feeder.
Our dining room, complete with our new table from World Market ($90!) and our two kitties (plus one foster kitty) in the window.
Close-up of our table. I love the wood!
One of my favorites! An antique store find, $18 somewhere out in the middle of nowhere. I repainted the frames and mats from this nasty green color to a nice, clean & crisp white. Trust me, it looks much better.
Another antique store find. My Heywood Wakefield coffee table. Love it! <3
Our mantle. And no, that's not a real Nelson Sunflower clock. It's a knock-off. But, maybe one of these days I'll have a real one.. :]
Another antique store find. Vintage Lane chest from 1950s/1960s (not totally sure.) But the color in it matches the table we recently bought!
Not a full picture of it, but the yellow and beige chest here (which we use as an end table) is also an antique store find. And this is Oscar, on our dog's bed. He's the foster kitty.
Our temporary couch, with Gizmo being all color-coordinated. We're currently saving up to get this one in the dune color. It'll look fantastic, I can't wait!
Eventually one day, this room will be finished. The blue color on the wall "isn't quite right," but this house is a rental and I don't want to make the landlord repaint it just because I picked out the wrong shade. Ah well, such is life. :]
